Specifics of Tango Vals and creative combinations of turns and rebounds.
With Michael Nadtochi. We will focus on the nuances of leading, starting from the correct body posture and footwork to the conscious use of weight shifting.
With Elvira Lambo. In this workshop, we will focus entirely on improving the technique for following dancers. We will concentrate on the subtleties of following and work on correct body posture and footwork.
Together, we will explore how to elegantly and harmoniously transition from the close embrace, typically used for traditional Tango figures, to the more open posture that allows for greater freedom in creative movements. During this process, we will learn and practice techniques for leading and following in various embraces. This skill enhances the versatility and expressiveness of your individual Tango dance.
In this workshop, we will delve deeply into Sacada and Entrada, two proven methods to enrich the dance with elegance and precision. While a Sacada is a movement where one partner gently "takes away" the foot of the other to make room for their own step, an Entrada is an elegant entry movement where a dancer gently places their step into their partner's space.
Geometry and timing. Possible variations for her and him. We will learn how to execute the Backwarts Sacada safely and smoothly. We will focus on the nuances of movement, including the correct placement of steps, weight balance, and timing, to ensure harmony and connection with your partner.
Discover how you can merge the fascinating techniques of Barrida and Enganche to create seamless and captivating dance sequences. Barrida involves an elegant sweeping motion with your partner's foot, while Enganche describes the art of intertwining the legs. In this workshop, participants will explore various ways to combine these two techniques and create harmonious movements.
In this workshop, our maestros introduce an exciting technique where a Barrida (a kind of sweeping motion with the partner's foot) is executed within a Colgada (a slanted, balanced position). You will learn how to combine these two elements to create fluid and dynamic sequences. The focus will be on how to lead and follow the movements precisely to achieve a harmonious connection between dance partners while maintaining control over balance.

The Maestros
Michael Nadtochi & Elvira Lambo
| Michael Nadtochi Michael Nadtochi has been dancing professionally for over thirty years. He began his dance career by winning the national youth championship title of Russia at the age of eighteen. Since 1998, he has been dedicated to Argentine Tango and has founded the Argentine Tango Academy in the USA as well as the online learning project "The Tango Method." Michael has taught in over 30 countries and emphasizes the discovery of personal expression in dance in his teaching. |
| Elvira Lambo Elvira's life is a fascinating symphony of dance and music. As a professional dancer, experienced teacher, and creative choreographer, she masters a variety of styles, including classical ballet, folk dance, modern dance, jazz dance, and classical Indian dance. She discovered her love for Tango in 2009 through contact improvisation. |
